Bro. Eddie to lead tribute to Ninoy in Barasoain Church; 10,000 supporters expected to join

"The heroic death of Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino is best honored by the birth of a new Philippines."

Bro. Eddie Villanueva, leader of Bagong Pilipinas, Bagong Pilipino Movement (BPBPM), said in a statement as he called on BPBPM supporters across the country to join the national commemoration of the patriotism of Aquino on August 21.

Villanueva himself will lead 10,000 BPBPM supporters in a tribute to Aquino in Barasoain Church in Malolos, Bulacan. The activity, called "Sigaw ng Pilipino: Parangal ng Bulakenyo para sa Kabayanihan ni Ninoy Aquino," will also gather multi-sectoral groups which are members and allies of Bangon Pilipinas Party as well as local executives of the province led by no less than Governor Jonjon Mendoza.

"The Movement is holding the activity in Bulacan because the province is undisputedly the 'Bayan ng mga Bayani'," said Villanueva who is also one of the most prominent sons of Bulacan.

A mass march from four points of convergence going to Barasoain Church will show the force of those calling for a new Philippines: Kapitolyo, Crossing, Cathedral and Barasoain.

"The call for change is real. This march for change will show that Filipinos are genuinely committed to support the birth of a new Philippines," the leader of the good governance group said.

BPBPM's vision centers on the belief that the Filipinos are capable of transforming the Philippines into a productive, prosperous and respectable nation through a 7-point roadmap: empower the people, emancipate the people, educate the people, energize the economy, elevate living standards, eradicate bad governance and establish peace in the land.

Meanwhile, Bangon Pilipinas Party will make an announcement on its participation in the 2010 national elections.
